Super Early Picks for the Survivor Series Elimination Matches

Hey everyone, "The Face, The Heel and The Pin Blog" is back and if you have been watching WWE this week, you know that both Raw and SmackDown Live had pretty good shows this week. One big announcement came from SmackDown Live, when GM Daniel Bryan and Commissioner Shane McMahon challenged RAW to three different elimination tag team style matches for the Survivor Series PPV on November 20. The blue brand proposed to take on the flagship show in a 10-on-10 elimination match featuring each of the brand's best tag teams, a 5-on-5 elimination match featuring each brand's best female wrestlers, and another 5-on-5 elimination match featuring the best male wrestlers.

While Raw has yet to accept the challenge, it's pretty certain that these three matches are going to happen. With over a month to prepare for the SmackDown versus Raw clash at Survivor Series, I decided to make my picks for who will feature in these three matches.

When considering my predictions, it's important to note that reports are circulating that some wrestlers will be pulling double duty, mostly likely both tag team champs and maybe even the midcard title holders as well.

10-on-10 (Tag team)

Team Raw

  • The New Day (Kofi and Big E)

  • Cesaro and Sheamus

  • Enzo and Cass

  • Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson

  • The Shining Stars

Team SmackDown Live

  • Heath Slater and Ryhno

  • The Usos

  • The Ascension

  • The Hype Bros

  • American Alphas

Let's face it, the pool for tag teams on both brands is pretty small. Each brand has about five teams (SmackDown can count The Vaudevillians as a sixth team), the perfect number for this match. So it will be nice that almost all of the tag teams will get to featured on the pay-per-view.

5-on-5 (Female Wrestlers)

Team Raw

  • Bayley

  • Sasha Banks

  • Charlotte

  • Nia Jax

  • Emmalina

Team SmackDown

  • Becky Lynch

  • Alexa Bliss

  • Nikki Bella

  • Carmela

  • Naomi

While each brand has more than five women to choose from, the pool again is still a bit small, so Team SmackDown is a no-brainer. They only have six women wrestlers and Natalya hasn't been present on SmackDown lately. Bayley, Sasha, and Charlotte for Team Raw is also a no-brainer as are the stars for the women's division. Nia Jax, although she has really only faced Alicia Fox, has shown that she could probably be the most powerful and dominating woman in WWE right now. For Emmalina, she's has been set to make her return soon and that puts her in prime position to get herself into this match.

5-on-5 (Male Wrestlers)

Team Raw

  • Roman Reigns

  • Sami Zayn

  • Neville

  • Rusev

  • Seth Rollins

Team SmackDown

  • John Cena

  • Randy Orton

  • Bray Wyatt

  • Baron Corbin

  • Dolph Ziggler

Now, I know it may be surprising that I put Seth Rollins on this list, but rumors are buzzing that Chris Jericho might be leaving WWE near the end year to focus on his rock band, Fozzy. So speculations are arising that if Kevin Owens wins at Hell in a Cell, Jeri-KO might soon split with Owens and Jericho going to war over the WWE Universal title at Survivor Series. With Seth out of the title picture, that leaves him free to fight for the Raw brand. Another surprise maybe John Cena for Team SmackDown, but it's important to note that despite his break from WWE TV, he has been booked for Survivor Series, so he will more than likely make an appearance for this match. While Ziggler will more than likely be facing The Miz tin a rematch for IC title, I added him because as a workhorse, he is the one I see being able to do double duty. The same can be said for Raw's Roman and Rusev.

So those are my picks for the elimination tag team matches for Survivor Series. Now who wins...that's a different post for another day. That's all for now, I'll see you again when the bell rings!
